Creative Haven Arabesque Designs Coloring Book
Creative Haven Arabesque Designs Coloring Book by Nick Crossling is a 37-page PDF coloring collection that can be downloaded instantly after purchase.
This Dover Publications edition, first published in 2013, returns to the geometric plates first issued as Alhambra Coloring Book in 2008.
Book Overview
Arabesque designs in this book take their inspiration from the Alhambra, the renowned hilltop complex of buildings in Granada, Spain. The complex was built by the Moorish rulers of Spain and includes a fortress, palaces, courtyards, and gardens.
The arabesque is a Moorish design element made from repeated geometric forms, including star shapes. When your eye rests in different places, the intersecting lines reveal different patterns.

Why This Book Matters
The Alhambra is one of the great architectural treasures of Spain, and its patterns have inspired artists for centuries. This coloring book offers a direct way to engage with that tradition through imaginative line work.
Because the designs come from the earlier Alhambra Coloring Book, this edition also keeps a classic Dover plate collection available to new readers.
